brand story
BOLD PRINTS AND USE OF BLACK COLOUR
Masaba Gupta collection depicts her distinctive style of merging traditions with modernity. She makes an apt use of unconventional bold prints in her dresses. While black colour dominates Masaba Gupta collection, she knows well how to infuse edgy western styles into Indian ensembles. Banarasi silk fabric enhanced with her signature style of bold prints are the fine example of her design sensibility. The cuts and patterns of her traditional silhouettes are inspired from this eclectic mix of east with west. she has a bold and fierce style that is traditional, yet Bohemian and simplistic. She says that she is inspired by her African and Indian roots

WARLI WORK
Warli art is a beautiful folk art of Maharashtra, traditionally created by the tribal womens. Tribals are the Warli, Malkhar koli, Kathodi, Kokana, Dhodi tribes found on the northern outskirts of Mumbai, in Western India. This art was first explored in the early seventies & from then it was named as “Warli art”. Tribal people express themselves in vivid styles through paintings which they execute on the walls of their house. The most important aspect of the painting is that it does not depicts mythological characters or images of deities, but depict social life. Pictures of human beings and animals, along with scenes from daily life are created in a loose rhythmic pattern. Warli paintings are painted white on mud walls. The paintings are beautifully executed and resembles pre-historic cave paintings in execution and usually depict scenes of human figures engaged in activities like hunting, dancing, sowing and harvesting.
In todays time we see warily art in various clothing such as sarees , dupattas or even gowns . we also see them in accessories such as bags
